Each week throughout the school year, participating schools receive a in-person or virtual visit from representatives from one of the participating businesses. They will give a short presentation about their company and industry. This is followed by questions from attending students. The presentation will ideally take place during an academic advisement, study hall or lunch period- giving interested students opportunities to attend without interrupting academic instruction.
Depending on the size of the school, multiple presentations may be given to cover multiple lunch or study hall periods. We work with participants in our program to ensure that visits are scheduled at times that are convenient for both businesses and school districts. The schedules of participating businesses and schools are fully respected, and events are only scheduled on dates and times that are convenient for both parties. Schools will generally not get visits from more than one business a week (unless requested). This ensures that both parties are able to fully enjoy the benefits of our program, while not interrupting the time needed for regular business and academic activity.
